With a spectacular view of the Chao Phraya river and its exquisite and authentic French dishes, Le Normandie has been rated one the best restaurants in Thailand. Le Normandie is located in the legendary Mandarin Oriental Hotel. It is lavishly decorated with a gorgeous chandelier, a grand piano and an impressive wine cellar. This authentic French restaurant is often visited by Michelin Star Chefs from top restaurants around the world to perform their culinary magic. The restaurant offers both set and a la carte menu. Le Normandie is also well known for its impeccable service which is one of the top reasons why I have fallen in love with this place! Reservation is highly recommended. Don’t forget to ask for a table by the window to enjoy the magnificent view of Bangkok!
Wine Pub (ไวน์ ผับ)
Years ago when it was not so common to find good and affordable wine in Bangkok, Wine Pub in Pullman Hotel in Soi Rangnam, is one of the very first restaurants in Bangkok that promoted wine as their core menu. The Pullman Hotel Bangkok sometimes offers special but affordable haute-cuisine menus by their visiting Michelin Star Chefs in Bangkok. Unlike other hotel restaurants with formal set-up, Wine Pub brings to you casual setting with a mixture of light and fine dining menu. This easy-going ambience and fun music attract people to this place. Check out their daily special set menu with wine pairing in a reasonable price. Wine Pub is easily accessed via Victory monument BTS station.
Vogue Lounge (โวล์ค เลาจน์)
On the roof top of the Mahanakorn Cube building (near Chong Nonsri BTS station just off Sathorn road), you can find one of the most trendy restaurants in Bangkok. Vogue Lounge offers fabulous food, stylish drinks and stylish atmosphere. Their food is designed and prepared by Chef Vincent Thiery who used to be the Executive Chef at the 3 Michelin Stared Caprice restaurant at the Four Seasons hotel in Hong Kong. Dishes at Vogue Lounge are presented in bite-size servings, perfect to share with your companions. This lounge is the 4th of its kind opened after the other three branches overseas. Vogue Lounge can accommodate more than 100 guests with outdoor and indoor space. Their stunning setting will make you feel like you are on a fashion runway!
L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon (ลัตเตอลิเยร์ เดอ โชเอล โรบูชง)
With 28 Michelin Stars from his 20 restaurants across the globe, Joël Robuchon is an extraordinary chef who has brought the standard of Michelin Star Chefs in Bangkok to another level. The Bangkok branch of L’Atelier Joël Robuchon is gorgeously decorated in the same concept as all L’Atelier globally with red as the main color. The restaurant is located in Mahanakorn Cube building near Chong Nonsri BTS station. L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon has a unique dining concept, immersing guests in a dining experience where guests are part of the action, only separated by a counter between kitchen and main dining area. The restaurant offers marvelous meals that combine French techniques with top quality ingredients. Wide-range of premium wine is also available.
Nahm is a high-end Thai Restaurant located in the Metropolitan hotel Bangkok on Sathorn Road. The head chef, David Thompson, successfully secured the first-ever Michelin Star for Thai cuisine. This fine-dining restaurant was awarded the prestigious World’s 50 Best Restaurants and Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants by the famous UK publication, Restaurant Magazine. The skillful chef touched the core concept of Thai food and has brought about basics but perfect balance of Thai flavor namely sweet, sour, salty and spicy in their delicate menu. The restaurant serves elevated Thai street food to premium dishes. You can also expect some twists and surprises during your meal! If you would like to experience a Thai cuisine beyond normal Thai cuisine, Nahm is definitely one of your great choices. Their precious food also worth its price.
22 kitchen and bar (22 คิทเช่น แอนด์ บาร์)
Located in Dusit Thani Bangkok hotel at the intersection of Silom and Rama 4 road, the restaurant regularly showcases Michelin Star Chefs in Bangkok. 22 kitchen and bar offers refined, yet laid-back menu of Pacific coastal cuisine. Their grilled miso butter fish and surf and turf are dishes you should not miss! Recently a Japanese 3-star Michelin Chef, Tetsuya Fujiwara and his 7 crews occupied the restaurant for 3 days to perform their superb Japanese food magic. La Vie (ลา วี)
La Vie, a semi-casual French Restaurant has occasionally had the privilege of housing visiting Michelin Star Chefs. Its setting give clients a cozy ambience that is suitable for special night out or celebrations. Their staff is very helpful. They also have piano and vocal entertainer in the evening. All these come with reasonable prices comparing to other restaurants that has visiting Michelin Star Chefs in Bangkok. Their set menu comes in small sizes but the all the dishes are flavorful. I suggest you keep an eye on their websites for some special deals!
